FINALLY A DRY DAY.... WELL SORT OF!

Well, it’s official! We’re moving up north, away from the rain. We are skipping Gunawarra and going sraight to Irvinebank. We’ll be spending 2 nights there! It’s a good break for the crews.
Our setup for the day was: Truck #1 with Allen, Sarah and Joana, headed to Atherton to find a laundromat and wash and dry all the clothing, get some supplies and, try to get a part for Pat’s bike.
Thankfully, Atherton is a small town, and in the main square we found a laundromat, a grocery store and a bike shop. The day was very productive and by 2 p.m. we were in Irvinebank setting up camp.
We are finally away from the rain, so everyone is alt happier.
We’ll probably be wishing for rain later on in the race!
Truck #2 with Herman, Suzy and Spencer followed the riders for road support.
The team had a difficult but great day! The course to Irvinebank was mixed of asphalt and gravel. Still a lot of mud and flodding coming out of Koombolomba. Lot’s of hills and creeks to cross! But they did really great and got to the camp around 5 pm.
Everyone was in great spirits at the camp. The warm shower and the possibility of a dry and warm sleeping bag waiting fo you can make miracles!
